About Flamenco and Spanish Dances:

The Iberian Peninsula has been, for centuries, a melting pot of cultures. European, Arab, Celtic, Roman, African, Romani (Gypsy), and Jewish communities have lived there and have combined their art forms creating completely new dance forms. Each region of Spain has its own characteristic culture, dances, and, in some cases, their unique language. The most known Spanish dance is Flamenco, which is closely related to the Romani or Gypsy people that traveled from India to Spain. Their dances are about their struggles as immigrants and a minority. Even in the present, they are discriminated against frequently. However, their dances are also about their resiliency and strength. Flamencos enjoy life passionately despite all the difficulties.
